We believe in nurturing the whole child. Academics are an important part of early education, and we use the Teaching Strategies GOLD® curriculum, which aligns with early learning standards and supports developmental milestones in a play-based, child-led format. This curriculum helps us track progress in key areas such as literacy, math, cognitive development, and physical growth.
Equally important are Life and Social Skills, which form the foundation for long-term independence and emotional wellbeing. We embed opportunities throughout the day to practice communication, emotional regulation, daily routines, self-care, turn-taking, and problem-solving. These skills are taught intentionally through structured activities and modeled consistently by our caring staff.
Our Commitment
Our school is committed to providing a warm, inclusive environment where children of all abilities can thrive. Through individualized support, evidence-based curriculum, and a focus on social-emotional learning, we prepare each child not just for school—but for life.
Why We Use Teaching Strategies GOLD®:
Nurturing Every Child’s Potential
At our preschool, we chose Teaching Strategies GOLD® because it’s more than just a curriculum—it’s a comprehensive, research-based framework that supports the whole child. It helps us honor each child’s developmental journey by combining purposeful play, individualized learning experiences, and structured academic goals.
This curriculum allows us to track progress in meaningful ways, using observations and assessments that feel natural and engaging to children. It supports language and literacy, math, physical, social-emotional, and cognitive development, while allowing for flexibility based on each child’s interests, abilities, and IEP goals when applicable.
How We Implement It:
Intentional, Play-Based, and Inclusive
Our teachers design daily activities and environments that are rich with opportunities for exploration, discovery, and connection. We blend structured routines with child-led learning, creating a rhythm that feels safe and empowering for children of all abilities. Through small group work, sensory play, visual supports, and real-life experiences, we bring lessons to life in a way that’s developmentally appropriate and joyful.
We also incorporate frequent observations and reflective teaching practices. This means we don’t just “teach the lesson”—we actively assess how each child is engaging, adjusting in real time to make sure they feel supported, successful, and seen.
